Showbiz World Stunned As Legendary Hollywood Star Dies

Charles Dierkop, the character actor renowned for his role in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, has passed away at the age of 87.

Dierkop, known for portraying outlaw George ‘Flat Nose’ Curry in the classic Western film alongside Paul Newman and Robert Redford, died on Sunday at Sherman Oaks Hospital in LA (February 25).

His daughter Lynn informed The Hollywood Reporter that he passed away following a recent heart attack and a bout of pneumonia.

Dierkop’s other significant roles included starring alongside Newman and Redford once more in the caper film The Sting and in the police procedural Police Woman, featuring Angie Dickinson.
