DR HILARY Jones has disclosed that his beloved mum, Noreen, has passed away at the age of 97.
The TV medic, aged 70, shared the somber news on Lorraine this morning, expressing to host Lorraine Kelly, “We were celebrating her wonderful life. She was 97 years old, she was a kind, generous, very knowledgeable, and wonderful woman. She was a remarkable woman.”
He continued, saying, “We just got together and celebrated some of the happy times. It was a fabulous day, just remembering all the caring she gave. She was skilled in antiques, being a nurse; she was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as well. We had the opportunity to get together and to celebrate her life.”
Host Lorraine conveyed her condolences, saying she was “so sorry” and fondly recalled Noreen’s previous appearances on the programme. Mother-of-four Noreen published her first book – a memoir about her early life – at the age of 92 and appeared on Lorraine to promote it.
